We started BuildHive because we lived the problem. Designers and developers across Africa were losing weeks every quarter to broken workflows, bad handoffs, and tools that were never built for them.

Our Story

We felt the pain so we built the solution.

BuildHive was born out of a simple frustration — talented African designers and developers kept failing each other, not because of skill, but because the tools they used were designed for a completely different world.

Every collaboration platform — Figma, GitHub, Notion, Linear — was built in Silicon Valley for Silicon Valley teams. None of them understood African workflows, African pricing, or the specific way African product teams operate.

So we built BuildHive. An AI-powered collaboration platform designed from the ground up for African designers and developers — with the tools, the pricing, and the community context that actually fits how we work.
